Fellowship House of South Camden knows that reading skills are key to a child's present day learning and future success. If a child can read they grow in confidence, and are able to learn more effectively in every subject at school.
Our Reading Enrichment Program aims to help children who have fallen behind in their reading skills and reading comprehension through effective tutoring sessions. It has had a tremendous effect on the children's confidence, love of reading, and reading ability, which in turns impacts so many other areas of their life!
Fellowship House provides a Reading Enrichment Program on the first two Friday afternoons of every month. Each tutor (retired teachers and school counselors) works with either one or two children, so that the time invested with the students is highly relational and effective.
